Dr. French has been engaged in general practice for the past 19 years, and is one of the first persons in Jamaica’s to be trained as a specialist emergency medicine physician. She is the owner and a member of the clinical team at Imara Medical Centre. She has over a decade of experience at the University Hospital of the West Indies’ Emergency Medicine Division, where she is presently the Medical Director and member of the COVID 19 Task force. A few of her achievements are:
Trainer for basic and advanced Cardiac Life Support courses

Pioneer and teacher in the use of Point of Care Ultrasound in patient care.
Expert trainer for the MOH in emergency department triage using the Emergency severity index
Director of the Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services Unit which trains Emergency Medical Technicians from to 2010-2017
Venue operations manager for the local Medical and Health Committee for Cricket World cup 2007.

Author of several original research papers and case reports in medical journals
